ACT-UIS has signed a major contract for sample preparation and analysis of geological exploration samples with one of the leading mining companies in the world. With this contract our client has achieved a convenient way of reducing the size of samples collected in the field before being shipped to other laboratories, which traditionally was very costly, resulted in delays at border posts and therefore long turn-around times.

The contract involves the primary sample preparation of several 10000 exploration samples from Cabo Delgado Province in Northern Mozambique at our laboratory in Tete over the next one and a half years and the chemical analysis for a wide spectrum of elements as quality control for another laboratory contracted for the analysis of the exploration samples.

This contract also comes at a time where the setup of the laboratory is in its final stages. It is therefore now possible to send samples for the full spectrum of analyses described under the SERVICES section of our website.
