ACT-UIS, together with its South African partner laboratories UIS Analytical Services and Advanced Coal Technology, was exhibiting at the Geoforum 2007 conference at the Eskom Conference Centre in Midrand, South Arica. The conference and exhibition held on the 12th and 13th of July 2007 was organised by the Geological Society of South Africa under the theme "TARGETING THE FUTURE" which was set against the background of a steadily depleting mineral reserve base and the need for increasingly sophisticated methods of exploration, evaluation and mining technologies to allow the exploitation of deeper and more complex ore bodies.
