ACT-UIS Laboratórios de Moçambique, Lda. is a Mozambican laboratory company, which has three equal (33.33%) shareholders: Advanced Coal Technology (Pty) Ltd. , South Africa, UIS Analytical Services (Pty) Ltd. , South Africa and PlurInvest  Lda., a Mozambican investment company. 

The company is presently equipping a laboratory facility in Tete, northwestern Mozambique, to provide a wide range of services to exploration and mining companies operating in the area. The laboratory is expected to open its doors to customers by the 2nd of January 2007. The services will focus mainly on analyses for the geological exploration sector for coal, base metals, PGMs, gold and uranium and on analyses for the production of coal for local use and export. Water and soil analyses, including basic micro-biological testing, will also be conducted for environmental investigations and suitability for use.

It is expected that, once operational, the laboratory will attract a wide range of customers, not only from the surrounding areas, but Mozambique in general as well as neighbouring countries like Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia and Tanzania. This will also be the first commercial laboratory in Mozambique and will operate in a Joint Venture with the Government Mineralogical laboratory at their site in Tete.
